Sometimes we forget that our skin is a living, breathing organ and therefore it turns over and regularly sheds dead cells. We may notice this more in the winter when we get dry, flaky skin, so it is good to exfoliate regularly to reveal the new skin underneath! The Soap Cabin does three types of exfoliating soaps: Eucalyptus and Mango & Passionfruit scrub bars which both contain poppy seeds and a Sweet Orange & Patchouli scrub bar which contains pumice powder, which is a finer exfoliant. (You will probably be familiar with a pumice stone). Exfoliating also helps unclog pores and boost skin circulation. Follow your scrub with some of our lovely shea body butter which will moisturise and protect your skin with even better results!
On Saturday The Soap Cabin had a stall at the Little Fox Market, our original market(!) at the new venue of St Mary’s Church Centre, Rickmansworth. It was great to be back after a long absence and I have to say it was a really lovely day. We were indoors, but there were also some foody stalls outside and there were people browsing all day. We even had visits from friends and family, which makes the day even better (especially when they buy something)! When I got home I was actually exhausted from talking pretty much non-stop for 5 hours 🙂
Saturday was the debut for our Sea Kelp spa bar, which will be on the web shop shortly. This one divided opinion because of the seaweed aspect, but seaweed is great for drawing out impurities in the skin, and the addition of Rosemary and Lavender oils makes it relaxing and fragrant. One customer said it smelled like the Cornish coast – perfect!
Looking forward to our next stall at Little Fox on Saturday 10th May!
This Saturday (5th April 2014) we will have a stall at the Little Fox Market in Rickmansworth, which was the very first market we ever did once I was feeling brave enough to put my products out for public consumption! They have moved to a new venue, having been based at the Fox & Hounds pub garden near M&S in the High Street. It’s great because we now have the option of being indoors or outdoors, rather than just outdoors, and hopefully there will be a bit more footfall.
If you’re about, pop in and see us!
