Yesterday was a bit of a sleepy Saturday. I was quite tired from a long week plus recovering from a cold, and after having breakfast at the Breadhouse in Chalfont St Peter and a short walk around the common, I came home and decided to get my card making kit out and replenish my stock seeing as the Christmas fairs are fast approaching! I should really have been making a start on my regular monthly soap order, but the body was not willing!
Yesterday we had a stall at the Chalfont Crafty Collective’s Vintage & Handmade Fair with Macmillan Coffee morning at St Peter’s Parish Church Hall in the lovely Chalfont St Peter, not too far from home! We were supposed to have taken part in the first ever Chalfont Crafty Collective Fair earlier in the year, but I ended up having to cancel last minute due to ill health.
The fair started off a little slow, probably due to the rain and the early start of 9am (apparently no-one rises before 11am in Chalfont St Peter), but once we got to 10am, things picked up and we ended up having a fairly good day!
Lots of people came in and enjoyed tea, coffee and lovely homemade cakes and I heard this morning that £101.58 was raised for Macmillan Cancer Support! Read more about the world’s biggest coffee morning here: https://coffee.macmillan.org.uk/
We look forward to the Christmas Fair at the same venue on 17th December!
