Two in one week… Christmas fairs that is! Had a great time selling this week at York House Prep School Cheese and Wine Shopping Evening in Croxley Green/Sarratt (weds) and St Clement Danes School Christmas Market in Chorleywood (today). Both events went really well and we were pleased with how the stall looked. Was also nice to see people who had bought from us before and knew us from the Little Fox Market.
Even won a bottle of wine in the Tombola!
I’ve been very busy today working my way through my Christmas Fair to-do list. I booked us onto the York House School Shopping Evening on the 23rd, so with one extra event, and some wholesale bits to get done for the end of the month, I thought I had better get cracking!
Yay! We’ve just booked onto another Christmas event – the York House Prep School’s Parents Association’s Cheese and Wine Shopping Evening which takes place on Wednesday 23rd November at 7.30pm in Sarratt.
We’ve got a few Christmas fairs coming up shortly, and I recently bought some new burlap to cover our stall table, and so I needed to find a way to get our Soap Cabin name onto it, this time so that it is big enough to see at a distance, and so that the letters line up.
I basically got 2 packs of sponge letters from The Works and stuck them onto card with extra tacky glue. Once dry, I cut the card so that I had the individual words, and then I dabbed my black ink pad onto the letters and practiced stamping onto some pink paper before I do the final stamp onto the burlap table cover. (I’ll share that later after I’ve done it). Rubber stamping would do a better job, just because the sponge compresses quite a bit, but we’ll see what happens!
