Sadly we won’t see you at the Chalfont Crafty Collective Summer Market on the 3rd of June because we have had to cancel. We’re in the middle of trying (hoping!) to move house, so are kind of in the thick of things at the moment, which is exhausting!
Of course, don’t let our absence stop you from attending, and remember you can always buy from our online shop! http://thesoapcabin.co.uk/
We’ve just booked onto the Chalfont Crafty Collective Summer Fair, which takes place on Saturday 3rd June! Hope you can join us if you’re in the area. This event started last year, but it is getting busier every time, which is great! It currently only takes place once a quarter, which is probably a good idea at this early stage. We’re looking forward to it and hope the weather is as amazing as it was at the weekend just gone!
Yesterday we had our stall at the Chalfont Crafty Collective Spring Fair over in Chalfont St Peter between 10-2.
We arrived at the hall around 9.20am and got set up. I have to say I was really concerned that we were almost directly opposite a stall selling very strongly scented wax melts… Not good for a scented soap stall! Last time this happened was at the Little Fox Market in Rickmansworth where we were side by side with a similar stall and people were ‘smelled out’ by the time they got to us and either couldn’t smell our essential oil products or just didn’t want to! It seems to throw up an annoying either-or scenario. Or people think you’re selling the same thing!
Anyway, we actually did fairly well. The fair was busy most of the day and we recognised some visitors from previous fairs, which is great. We actually sold out of our Miracle Mango and Hemp Butter (not hard as we only had a few left in stock!) after having a discussion with a few ladies about dry skin complaints and the amazing benefits of mango butter and hemp oil, along with the therapeutic effects of Lavender and Tea Tree. Of course I am able to share my own experience of eczema and generally dehydrated skin. I really hope it helps with their skin issues as you really can’t escape your skin.
Also got given a few leaflets about fairs and shows that are being organised if we’d be interested. Always good to find other events in the area.
We’ll keep you posted on our future events! Don’t forget to check our website www.thesoapcabin.co.uk
We are booked into Chalfont Crafty Collective’s Spring Fair on Saturday 18th March, which will be our first fair of the year!
(We were going to do another event in February, but it turned out to be a Valentine-themed Pamper Evening which in our experience usually means that guests are there more to enjoy the massage appointments and not so much to spend spend spend on products…especially not that long after Christmas)
Anyway, we hope to see you in Chalfont St Peter and hope it’s a fun day!

On Saturday we will be at Chalfont St Peter’s Chalfont Craft Collective Christmas Fair, with lots of delightful soaps, body butters, oils and accessories, as well as some lovely gift sets! Support your local crafters and small businesses x
Two in one week… Christmas fairs that is! Had a great time selling this week at York House Prep School Cheese and Wine Shopping Evening in Croxley Green/Sarratt (weds) and St Clement Danes School Christmas Market in Chorleywood (today). Both events went really well and we were pleased with how the stall looked. Was also nice to see people who had bought from us before and knew us from the Little Fox Market.
Even won a bottle of wine in the Tombola!
I’ve been very busy today working my way through my Christmas Fair to-do list. I booked us onto the York House School Shopping Evening on the 23rd, so with one extra event, and some wholesale bits to get done for the end of the month, I thought I had better get cracking!
