I always find that a bank holiday weekend is a good time for going through my wardrobe and drawers, getting rid of clothes that I never wear, or just don’t like, and re-organising everything.
Although I suspect what I’m actually doing is procrastinating, because I’ve got a big order of soaps to make!
I like making stuff.
Cut the chemicals out of your life and try making your own all purpose cleaner:
60ml white vinegar
2tbsp bicarbonate of soda/baking soda
1 litre hot water
Few drops essential oil (I used Lemon and Tea Tree)
Put all the ingredients into a bucket or container, mix and leave to cool. Then pour into a spray bottle and you are ready to go! Lavender oil is another great oil to use too. The essential oils have their individual properties and they make everything smell nice.
I am so excited! On Friday I am expecting my Ikea Raskog Trolley, Turquoise, to be delivered! (I opted for delivery on this occasion, because the last time I went to Ikea Wembley, I almost had a melt-down combined with intense shopping-rage. I am happy to forego meatballs n’ lingonberry jam for my sanity.)
Being creative when you live in a flat has its challenges, especially those of space to make, do and finally store your creations. I’ve managed to get rid of a chest of drawers from my ‘home studio’ and so I thought it might be quite good to have a portable means of storage that can be slotted in anywhere without completely re-filling that space.
Kitchen, bathroom, bedroom, living room, balcony, home office or studio, I love it!
