This Weekend

I’m currently plugging away at getting products made for our upcoming Christmas markets (Chalfont Crafty Collective and St Clement Danes School Chorleywood), as you can see from the photos above and below. I need to wrap and label these soaps and start on the next lot this weekend, as well as getting on with my regular wholesale order. I’m also thinking about what new products we can introduce this Winter…

We’re really looking forward to these two local events because we haven’t been able to take part in many markets most of the year due to putting our place on the market and now awaiting a move date. Hopefully this won’t happen too close to Christmas, which is the busiest time of year! Anyway, exciting times!

Check out our website for dates of events we’ll be at, or to purchase online 🙂

Chorleywood Village Day Fun 2016

This weekend we took part in the Chorleywood Village Day on Chorleywood Common. It was our first year there and we know the Village always turns out to support local events as we have done the Christmas Evening and are regulars at Clement Danes School Christmas Fair.

We got off to a rocky start after we arrived at our pitch and realised we had left our table and gazebo sides at home, plus one of the water filled weights for the gazebo had a puncture and had leaked in the car! Anyway, Clive drove home (only 5 mins away!) to retrieve forgotten items.

The event started at 12 noon and before we knew it was buzzing with people! Unfortunately our pitch position was not favourable. We were near the entrance/exit, sandwiched between, surrounded by  and slightly obscured by charity stalls, while all the other retail type stalls (jewellery, clothing, candles etc) were down in the middle of the action, near the stage where various performances were taking place. Anyway, we did feed this back to the organisers at the end and said we would like to return next year…in a better spot ☺

We did okay, but I think we can do a lot better next year! The visitors we did have were really enthusiastic about our natural skincare and I’m really glad we sold some of our new Mango and Hemp Miracle Butter because it’s amazing!

Little Fox Amersham – March 2016

Today we had a stall at the *BRAND NEW* Amersham Little Fox Market, held at the Amersham Free Church Alfred Ellis Hall, just off the High Street in the Chilterns.DSC_0040

DSC_0242As it was a new event, we didn’t expect it to be amazing, and although there were people browsing throughout the morning, it went fairly quiet later on. It just needs some time for word to spread and for it to gain a following (in person, and not just on social media :))

There were plenty of people on the High Street and we managed to get some of them in (including an old friend!) by leafleting at points during the day. Hopefully they’ll return next month.

DSC_0241Annoyingly, I filled up my flask at home with Lemon & Ginger tea and then ended up leaving it at home! Then when we got to the fair we found out that the person who would have been running the tea & coffee stand unfortunately wasn’t there due to illness, so we were all making trips back and forward to Costa and Caffe Nero. Pricey! (I did have a bottle of water as always, but that was gone in no time).

While we were there, we picked up an amazing piece of tree trunk to use in our display. But more on this later…

Our next one in the diary is a new Little Fox Market at Gerrards Cross on 24th April… What we’d like to do is probably stick with ONE of the Little Fox Venues (Rickmansworth was our launch-pad), but we’ll keep you updated! But remember, our online shop is always open.Little Fox Amersham Mar 16
